PAC – Projet Arts et Culture Interested in starting a career as an art director, author, choreographer, painter, sculptor, director, musician, set designer, actor, film editor?
Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi-Montreal Centre Ville, in collaboration with Service Canada,is pleased to announce a career initiative for artists seeking work in the arts and culture fields.
Eight selected participants will benefit from a 24 week program allowing them to work on a cultural project of their choice, develop job search skills and tools (CV, portfolio, demo CD, website, etc.) and participate in an internship in the arts/cultural field.
Open to the general public; candidates must meet eligibility criteria below.

About Projet Arts et Culture
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be between 18-30 years of age
- Be a Montreal resident
- Be fluent in
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
- Be available and motivated to complete the program beginning September 21st 2009 and ending March 26th 2010 (30hrs/week for 24 weeks).
- Have difficulty finding work in your chosen field
- Have a clear career goal
- Have an educational background in the arts and minimal/no work
experience in the arts and culture field- Not be attending school
- Not be receiving unemployment insurance benefits
Application Process and Procedures
In order to be considered, applicants must:
- Attend an information session
- Fill out an application form
- Pass an interview or audition
- Participate in a group interview
- Submit a proposal for a cultural project using a form provided by Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi
